Airbrake Teflon Wire
Has anyone used Teflon (PTFE) Wire for an Airbrake build? I was going to simply because of it's ability to cope with higher temperatures. I can't see any reason why I couldn't use it.

Oh man, it'll sound tinny! JK, no reason not to use it.

Haha I expected at least one person to say something like that and it was you Martin
. It seems like the most sensible option given the heat that will be inside the unit.
Re: Airbrake Teflon Wire
Just received my shipment of AB parts and teflon was my plan, because at the end of the day I am just building a small oven. I don't see why you wouldn't! Except for that tinny sound, yeah.

Re: Airbrake Teflon Wire
Awesome. Are you going to post photos of it on here Dave?
Re: Airbrake Teflon Wire
I can do that.
It's just going to be a dead stock AB, with rheostat, built exactly from the layout and parts list I found here. I figured I'd start with a known quantity and maybe play with it from there.

Ah fair enough. Mine is going to be a custom unit that matches every speaker cab to roughly 4Ohms, has a line out and a foot switchable solo boost. Just drawing out the layout as I type this and will order parts later on tonight!

That sounds excellent! I will be watching to see how you get along!
I might end up being your first cloner.
