Hi passfan, many thanks for the reply, the amplifier is a TW Express kit that I built from Ceriatone. It has wonderful clean and distorted but the transition between the two is done too early.
Stay clean till the volume is around 9 and is too low to be usable in a live set.
The distorted sound comes from 9 to 13, obviously I can clean up with the guitar volume pot but the sound is neither clean or cranck.
I tried to make some changes following schematics found in:

changing V1a and V1b plate resistor from 100k to 150k (more Voxy sound) or going from V1 to V2a ,002uf+56k to ground. No one cange was decisive.
What I would like is to have a Clean at a more strongher usable volume in live sets and a smoother transition between clean and distorted.
