What is the easiest and most accurate way to get the 45 degree miter cuts in the cabinet corners?

Easiest? If you have a good miter saw, you could probably do it. Just spend some time dialing it in, if you can. Honestly, though, I use the method cbass describes, as I've not got a properly dialed in miter saw, but I do have access to the table saw.

My favorite method also. This is what I found to work best for me.cbass wrote:A well tuned table saw table saw with a very good crosscut guide
Incra Miter 5000 and Jet table saw. Better than any of my miter saws.

With the guide set as in your photo how do you get enough blade height?

I believe on the wreck cabinets, the front edges of the cab are just small pieces that are mitered and glued to the rest of the cabinet that has a different style of joint. They aren't very big.

uses set like this for small cuts in front trim. Set it at 90° and tilt the blade for large cuts up to about 15 inches of depthCantplay wrote:Jeff:

I used a lock miter router bit and borrowed a router table. I did make a few stuff ups but are very happy with results.

That's the way to go .extremely strong.apparently people don't like to see the lock part in the corners.sethyrish wrote:I used a lock miter router bit and borrowed a router table. I did make a few stuff ups but are very happy with results.

Thanks
The keyed bit was also fragile on the soft pine. I had to use sacrificial blocks before and after the cut to stop them from getting knocked off by router bit. Here's a image that shows the key.
