LERPOOLE PCB 15 WATTER COMPLETED

Post by RCGPNY1 »

Put the finishing touches on my RJ Lerpoole 15watter.Havent had a chance to get her up and running yet...getting some tubes!. Figured Id show a couple of gut shots....RJ was quite generous with his help too!...As you can see I didn't wire up the Master Volume...as this is my first "wreck" style amp I want to live with it at least a little while with no master to hear what it's really like.
BTW..sorry about the glare...

Richard, Hope you made the final tweaks and got the tubes in it... also hope it meets all your expectations... mine is one of my overall favorites right now. Great tone and crazy loud! rj

Got it up and runnin this past weekend and WOW. Great dynamics, relatively quiet...a little hiss as pointed out by others, but it's
not audible as soon as you play. Has a beautiful clean tone with the volume on my R0 reissue at about 3, starts breaking up at 5 and is wonderful on 10. An almost idealized Marshall style sound(especially using the 500pfsetting on the bright switch) Easily as loud as a 18 watt Marshall and sounds better IMHO. Very happy:: it will be favorite amp now...My new JTM50 clone will take a back seat to the Lerpoole! Kudos to RJ for a wonderful kit and for his help and thanks to all on TAG. I will try to post a sound file soon.
