The original JM clips I heard some time ago were unimpressive. I was searching YouTube for clips to send to a friend I am building a Rocket for, and came across this clip from Feb 2014.
To me this is much better sounding than the other clips I heard. Played through what I understand to be Kenny's favorite 4x12:

I had a chance to snag one of these cabs a while back at a good price and missed it. I'm still kicking myself over that.

That is the rocket sound, sounds like he was playing a strat.

Much better. JM said that the low end distortion of his previous videos is not accurate
