JJ ECC83 MG's

Post by leadfootdriver »

I have a set for the Express and think they are really great. They are thick and detailed with lots of mids, but are more open sounding and not so compressed. I like them better than my Baldwin labeled Sylvania's.

The plates are a bit larger than the regular ECC83S's, but a bit shorter than the 803S. Good stuff!

This is a new tube from JJ. 'MG' stands for 'Medium Gain'.

I also have tried this tube and found it OK but not exciting, not the same reaction you had. It's a solid tube though, worth a listen.
