Really nice work!

But I have what is probably an ignorant question. I've been reading about cap outer foil alignment. From what I have found it is said that the outer foil should be connected to the lowest impedance. I notice that you have the .002 coupler's foil going to the grid of V2. Shouldn't that be attached to V1's plate? Wouldn't that be the lower impedance?

You are probably right, I just built it like I did my last express, trying to get this one to sound close to the way the last one does and everyone likes it.
Not sure maybe it was part of why the last one sounded so good, lets break some rules here, after all it is rock n roll. :)

Very Nice work indeed! Looks very close to original. I am finding that any of the old Mallory caps are getting rare. Nice job on the cabinet as well.

No that is Midwest McMaster Carr, I like the Red tint of their wire, It seems to add something to the sound, I tried black and white but the red sounds much much better.

That's some of the cleanest lead dress I've seen and I have to say even though I can't even come close I am using this series of pix as my build guide for the lead dress. Fantastic! Thank you for the faithful reproduction! Those must be some kind of specialty flea clip...I like them. I wouldn't mind using those on my next build. I guess I'd better get this year's McMaster catalog so I can get some of that red wire.

Be sure your tinfoil hat has a good low impedance ground.
