Looks like a Komet cap board filters underneath.
I ran this thread a few years back... https://tubeamparchive.com/viewtopic.php?t=13255

with the new caps getting smaller and smaller it opens up a few more options. If I could ever get over my phobia of radial caps I think I could cut a lot of the cost off of a contemporary Wreck build

I have 295V on the plates, 293V on the screens, and 9.2V on the cathode. Cathode resistors are 110ohms, not 100 which would be double the 50ohm that is standard. Not sure yet about valves. Some modern don't cares are in the preamp now and some 6P14P-EV's in the power. it sounds pretty good even with these random tubes.
Zippy wrote:I see you're set up for 1/2 power - are you using much in half power mode? Do you hear/feel much difference?
I actually haven't pulled two out yet, so i'm not sure! I've never done a proper A/B the same amp at full/half power. But one thing that concerned me was if i removed two of the tubes that the plate voltage would creep up a bit and also there wouldn't be as much drop from plate-to-screen. so i thought about making the screens have a 220 or 330ohm on the two that would stay in instead of the 100.
Zippy wrote:BTW, it looks like the output bypass caps are laying on the heat-sinked cathode resistors. Are they?
Nope! You can't tell from the overhead shot, though. So here's a side-view. btw i'll wrap that cathode wire around the resistor hole to make a better mechanical connection - i only set it in there and soldered so it would be easy to change the cathode resistor if i needed/wanted to.
