Has anyone considered making a Clone in a Hammond Chassis? the francesca pics definitely confirm my original suspicion that Ken used the folded aluminum Hammond chassis. Reason I ask is because they're only about $27 from angela. Of course using a chassis that thin you'd have to employ the same wooden support system Ken used to keep the trannies from caving it in.

The Franchesca pics dont quite look like Hammonds to me, at least nothing currently made. I also think the size isnt a standard size - at least not with the current Hammond line. I do think they were commercial off the shelf purchases, tho. Perhaps Bud Mfg, or a similar...

I've used the nearest Hammond aluminum chassis for a wreck influenced build, but I'd be afraid to put the standard transformer set on the flimsy and thin aluminum unless I had some serious reinforcement or bracing.
