I've testing with a choke (replaced the 25W resistor). Kinda like it but can't really make up my mind if If I should keep it, therefor I thought it would be nice to see if anyone here has played with this part or has opinions on this?
The obvious reason is to make the Express more clear sounding, which it does, transforms the amp to this millennium, less mudd with higain, but then again I'm a bit shattered, it would be nice to preserve the feel of the sag or at least have it switchable.
Would be interesting to hear if anyone has tried resistor+choke in series and how the amp responds on that? Or would a 25W pot do it in this to have the option to blend the best of both worlds?
Or could it help trying other value for the resistor?

You might try adding a resistor in series with the choke, the value if said resistor being equal to the value of the original (non-choke) resistor minus the DC resistance if the choke.

tried a choke and hated it. but the DC resistance was much lower than 1k
