I was playing my CageWreck tonight as I was about to start I remembered that I had put a 12at7 in the phase inverter and a 5751 in the V2 when I got it a year ago or so. I figured WTH I will see what it is made of so I put in three used but good Mullard ECC83. I had also fitted a pair of 6550 tung sol coke bottle tubes from the 60's quit a while ago. Wow does this thing ever sing. Any note any time instant sustain turns into in tune feedback. Turn the volume down to 4 on the guitar for clean slowly inch up as I go till is just screams.
One odd thing though I could not run my peddle board in front of it had to go direct. Direct everything was fine quite hardly any hum or no buzzing. Put the peddle board in between and hum buzz city. None of my other amp do this not the Marshalls, Boogies, of Fenders weird. I actually noticed the buzzing with the old tubes that were in it that is what started me into changing them so the tubes aren't the issue. Like I said it sounded terrific going direct which is not a problem really this amp needs nothing in front. But it would be nice to be able to use the board.

Re: Tube Change and buzz issue
I found my problem with my pedal board. The Lehle a/b/c amp selector was having issues. Seems it needs more power then is supplied by my VHT Valvealator. I put it on a wallwart of its own and that fixed it.
