New Express Build and a question about heaters
I'm getting started on an Express with the Heyboer PT, which as we know requires two holes for the leads as opposed to the one hole used in the original. My question is, am I asking for trouble placing the heaters in a straight line directly from the PT lead hole closest to the center of the amp to the first power tube? I notice on most real Trainwrecks and clones the heaters come out from under the power supply board further towards the rear of the chassis. Would I be better off turning the PT around? I'd rather re-do it now when the chassis is relatively empty than later! The bottom layer of filter caps is in place to give an idea of where they will eventually be.

The heater wire routing is fine. But please consider removing that metal clip on those wires. It looks scary.....

Thanks Jelle, I'll replace that clip with a plastic one!
