Hello,
I have built a Liverpool clone with allmost the regular grounding points.
But a Signal comes through with closed Volume.
I swaped tubes and Vol pot. Moving with a stick helps nothing.
HB are louder than SC (clear).
No Signal wire crosses a DC suply wire or goes close parallel
The only different:
there is a G2 control in to reduce the rel. high voltage at the grids from 350 VDC to at least 300 VDC or even more down- sounds cool. The anode brings 370 VDC to the EL84 anodes
and:
there is a 50-50µF/500 can cap and a 40-20-20-20µF can cap for PS.
Could it be the can caps?

Hans-Jörg

Re: Liverpool: signal although volume closed?
all I can think is that your volume pot isnt grounded well or the treble caps for the bright switch are weird? Ive never had that happen before and cant think of what else would cause that. gut shots would help. These guys on here spot a lot of stuff from those. Hi res i s best.
