Well I guess I was wrong, there is a problem and I have not found a good answer to it yet. After a few hours of playing the Express and switching to the Liverpool I can't tell which one I like better. Both amps sound great, just different. :?

Will have to use back of token on the amp.

Jeff, great looking amps, and I really like the token badging idea very cool.

I'm with you on which one to play more, it's a battle between express and Liverpool. Both great just a bit different. Now the rocket is a different beast all together.

The Maui Express is running..... :D Powered her up tonight and she sounds great. Had a loose B+ wire to v1,but once that was fixed she works fine. Using a pair of Vintage Groove Tubes EL34's, and Mullard, Telefunken, and Sylvania pre amp tubes. Now I just need to pry my hands off the guitar and finish the cabinet.

Well yea, Less likely to get shocked with your feet off the concrete floor. :)
I figured that was the normal way to build, you guys don't do it that way?

Maui Express is finished... :) Slowed up a little for Mark.
She sounds Really good to my ears, quieter than my Liverpool style builds.
That I did not expect with all I had read about Express style amps.
Here are pictures of the amp all done. :)

WOW - a quiet Express!
Lots of us are striving for what you got right out the box.
Unless your Liverpools are realy noisy...
Well Done Jeff!
