MY TUBE RECTIFIED 6V6 EXPRESS BASED VARIANT
I've tried unsuccessfully twice to add photos to this post and it blew me out. I'll just put the description on first and try to add the photos later. I used Mercury Magnetics Blackface Deluxe Reverb Power and Output trannies and a choke from the 40W BF amps. I added an Octal socket and am running a GZ34/5AR4 rectifier. I swapped 0.015uf's for the 0.022's, a 0.0068 for the 0.0022 and the first 0.1uf cap was swapped for a 0.047uf Auricap. The amp really rocks and I love humbuckers best through it w/o a doubt.

Last one, I promise!
Here's the last photo. I know they aren't the greatest, but they're something. I also realize that it's a bit of a rat's nest inside but there are 2 reasons for that. first I didn't want to cut the Tranny leads too short in case the amp really sucked, and second, I used quite a bit of stranded cloth covered wire as I was short on solid core. I built more tweed style stuff prior to this and a 50W Plexi that I built last took most of the solid core I had in stock.

Very nice! Which transfomers did you use? I know you said MM, but there are a few Deluxe trannies to choose from...
Interesting transformer placement, too... The OT is kinda close to the preamp tubes, and the PT is a laydown mount with a modification. How does all of that work out? Any issues?

Tranny issues
They are the standard Blackface Deluxe Reverb Tone Clone ones for Pre CBS models...theFBFDRO and FBFDRP. I oriented the OT based on usual Fender type orientation, but I have room to rotate it 90 degrees if need be. I mounted the PT on nylon spacers to avoid hacking the chassis, but I coulda made right angle brackets to mount it vertically (an arrangement I've seen Tony Bruno use), but thought I'd keep the original orientation to avoid drastic bends in the wires. I assume you are alluding to noise issues, but it's not too bad if other posts about the circuit are true. It does have a healthy amount of "blow" when cranked above 2-3 oclock, but nothing that I'd consider abnormal. One thing I did find out, you can't use Chickenheads with the pot spacing (doh!!!), so other knobs are forthcoming.
