What OT to use for Liverpool

Post by d2camero »

What OT should I use for a Liverpool build? I have one of Moose' express OT/PT sets coming, but was wondering if there was something more appropriate for a 4 x EL84.

Is MM a good option for the extra bucks?

thanks

Moose OT

I doubt you'll do better than Moose's Ot
I have one in the Liverpool I'm still tweaking, and it has already surpassed my expectations. (even though the amp squeels at higher volumes etc.) Still lots of work for this relative noob

But anyway, I think it is great value to stick with moose
.........Now where did I put it?

Moose's iron is excellent, and I have used it with my EL34/6V6 builds exclusively. However, for my Rocket/AC30 build, I'm gonna use a surplus 4k Schumacher OT I found... I am using one of Mooses PT's though.

I used Moose's tranny set for my trem-rocket along with a mercury magnetics ac-30 choke and I'm quite happy with it. Phil

Thanks for the info. I was just unsure if the input impedance of the 4 x EL84 was too out of whack as compared to the express 2 x EL84.
