Does anyone know of a decent book or website on how to decipher schematics with all the groundings and how some components attach i get lost.

Also a book on how an amplifier works and what each component does in the chain

Oh yeah I really have a liking for "Inside Tube Amps By Dan Torres" Its actually fun to read and not too technical but very practical.

If you want to do some basic study and understand how components work (especially tubes), the Navy Electricity & Electronics Training Series - NEETS* tome is outstanding.
