So much fx, can barely hear the amp. Sounds kinda sludgey.

The demo clips where Lance is talking are much more enticing IMO.

The amp will be available in about 3 weeks through Destroy All Guitars..

Sludgy? What do you play through so I can get a point of reference for your personal taste.
We can do another demo that suits your preferences if you like.

Thanks again guys..

TEX,

Really it's just all the fx that are on the recording that don't do it for myself; just sounds like too much is going on, otherwise every other clip I really enjoyed. Was the clip mentioned recorded line out?

I myself play Marshall's through EV12L's and Celestions mostly. I had an Express clone I built, which I enjoyed very much, but I had to unfortunately liquidate.

I wish the best for these amps; really sounds like a lot of potential, especially for $800  :D

BTW, I enjoy most all of your product demonstrations; great vibes, you really know how to sell shit I think.

One has to be a complete tube amp bigot to say that the Retro Wreck is not a great sounding amp. I own several tube amps, but my main practice amp is a Trademark 30. Attenuators and master volumes are band-aids to the age-old problem of needing scalable tone and performance.

Hard to judge from the clip , but it seems to be a little edgy and transistory IMHO. I'd have to be in the room playing it to know for sure.

Where did the $800 figure come from? I just looked at DAG and it's priced at $975. Almost a 25% increase. I'm sure I'd prefer tubes to be honest.

Edited One more thing. Lance makes a statement about buying the amp because he needs to retire. Lance - you don't know much about sales. Yes, I am very motivated to buy your amp so that I can contribute to your retirement plan - not. How bout I just give you $1K and you can forget the burden of you actually providing me with anything in return? In your mind, is that really a reason worth mentioning in your sales pitch or could you not resist the urge to shove your foot down your throat? In spite of some initial misgivings, I was truly interested in the amp. I can tell you that you lost me as a customer forever with that statement. Is it your opinion that all your customers are there just to contribute to your retirement? Personally, I am offended and walking away with my middle finger in the air.
