Hi guys,
I see you all use aluminium chassis. I like steel because its more like tank. Would steel work with an express build? If theirs no other option, I will build it in aluminium no problem, but I like to check things out before I order parts.
Thanks

Re: chassis question
steel changes the sound of the amplifier but if u want to use steel you're going to get a much stronger chassis for sure.
Re: chassis question
I am using one of RJ's welded aluminum chassis (0.090") in my build and it is as stout, maybe stouter, than any steel based builds that I have ever done. It's as solid as a rock! Plus, way easy to perforate.
So...don't let the perceived lack of mechanical integrity of aluminum be the only reason to shy away from it's use.
Cheers,
Dave O.
