Hi all
Anyone got any ideas for increasing the maximum attenuation on the Airbrake when on bedroom setting?
At max, it's not enough for late night noodling.....
Also (and this is a really stupid question), I've got the AG suggested Mouser aliminium box: could someone inform a noob how best to actually attach the base plate? I just assumed it would come with pre-tapped screw holes/screws.....
Thanks

You need to increase series resistance.
With a 25R shunt and 25R series resistor the maximum attenuation with a 8 ohm load is about -10db. With an added 150R rheostat you will get down to about -23db. Probably to loud for home use as you might want to reach at least -40db.
The version with the adjustable shunt will provide for a more even load to your amp but will cut maximum power handling in half.
