The volume pots are wired Norlin era, but with bypass caps. Ignoring the TW issue, that's a very good setup, ime. Would I see improvement with 50's wiring and no bypass caps?
Hey jaysg
my edwards les paul had those pups exactly, after i did the 50's wiring
the vol & tone use-ability was much more apparent, with no need for treble bleed at all...big improvement

then I changed out the pups for Mick Brierley's pickups, and an even bigger improvement!!!

BTW Im running thru an express amp.

Cheers, Craig.

what are the R on these 8K ?
clearly the trainwreak have to change the drop down resistor from 150k to 57k when you use higer output humbukkers . as Dana said we would be more in Kens spirit if we draw outside the lines . start with the copy and adjust the ciriut to fitt your needs , i think we have mostely the same goal. to make it sound good with a high response to how we pick the strings . if you want it soft go with a high resistance in OT . 6,6 k is the standard , lower resistasnse will make it a sharper edge . why not try a mismatch standard Marshall 50W ot Impedanse says 3,4k at 8 ohm well use that on a 16 ohm speaker and tubes will see 7.8k the sound will be buttery and soft . :) dare to colour outside the lines .
