OK, you get 300-0-300 if you put 240V on pri.
But, in schematics is, for 240V pri., 280-0-280.
If this is a rule then OK.

But, with 240V pri. you get 6,65V on heaters...too much?
Ratio is not correct in this case, should be probably 6,3V?
As maximum.
Paulster, with yours 250V pri. you'll get barbeque... :?

6.6v on the heaters is no problem----the winding in this trannie is WAY over speced (it's like 8A i think). this winding will vary high for a lot of reasons (it's big wire and doesn't take that much of it relatively speaking to make the winding)--probably in this case it may be as simple as they used just a bit extra in the wind to get the winding to exit on the proper side, since they all come out on one side instead of both like on some trannies. it's not uncommon for this to be on the high side, esp. given how over rated it is. rh

Good, so heating is still on safe side.

"rhinson", what do you think is better-
-to build vintage voltage adapter or to give PT to proff. to change number of windings on (decreasing primary I suppose?)?

Actually I never checked Mains voltage before...
now I see it also move between 216-219V... :x
So, with VVA or variac I can boost primary, but it can also go over 240V...

if you already have a variac and can put 240v on your trannie's primary (and of course don't mind the extra hassle) i'd do that---that way you can stick your mutimeter in your variac and make sure 240v comes out no matter what the line voltage is (a swing of a few volts from your wall like you stated is not a big deal and generally beyond control anyway as it varies throughout the day for a variety of reasons). but from now on, if you get stuff made in the usa, tell them you want a 220v pri. , assuming you're gonna be living in the same area for a while. rh

Thanks.
Well, for devices as valve amps are, it really is important, I see now.
