Actually... no. But I'm building one out of the very last REV 2.5 transformer set... I'll get some friends to have a blast through it and see what you think...

I'm amazed that no one has mentioned Solen... we use Vishay MKT1813's for the majority of mainstream builds but have found Solen 'fast' caps to be incredibly responsive and consistently so..

It's easier to say that it's been a hair brained idea - and I should have trusted my instincts... if it could have been done someone would've...

In it's current state it's got 445V B+ straight off a 5U4 rectifier, 405V plates, 430V screens and around 32.5V on the cathodes... First: it's not a cathode follower in any traditional sense.
