Classictone 40-18061 transformer 100.00 USD

Unused, full leads. 5k primaries. You can't buy these anymore, as I'm sure you know if you've tried. Great for any project and sounds amazing. Here's the orig ad; "This is the original output transformer for the famous and legendary Supro Thunderbolt amplifier! 35 watts. This is hot off our assembly...

Re: 18 watt trainwreck

It is not part of the design. This was the first amp I ever built, from the same layout, and had no such problems.

Re: First Session with Rocket - Speaker and Cab Discussion

I'm using 2 fanes in a closed back cab, and am still blown away when I hear the thing. A Medusa 150 and an AXA Alnico. Ballls for miles, high end that is clear and tinkly without any spikey pain. Love is what I FEEL from that spearker/cab combo.

Re: "The Mezitone" (Rocket build)

Thanks Strat Ad! The end of that shorter clip is just the amp, no pedals. There's a lot more where that came from, as the amp was on 4 and 1/2 volume. More gain and volume on tap, from that point. It's not a difficult build, and I kept it all stock. The only liberty's I took were the CDE coupling ca...

Re: "The Mezitone" (Rocket build)

Hmmmm lots of views, little love from the Amp Garage. Does it sound crappy and you all are being polite? Did I fuck up the build? Does it look crappy and you don't wanna say?. Oh well. I think it sounds amazing. I was all excited to share here, as I don't normally have much to contribute in the area...

Re: "The Mezitone" (Rocket build)

The MEZiTONE, with vol at 4 (very fucking loud, but there was a lot of growl and volume to be had past 4) on my venerable strat. I didn't use a pick so you can better hear the dynamics of the amp. Thanks Rhinson, Ron Worley, Richie, Allyn and Dale. You too, Darin.

"The Mezitone" (Rocket build)

My childhood friend needs an amp to match his skills on guitar, and for the wonderful funk band he plays in, so I'm building him "The Mezitone" (his last name is Mesibov). I need to wire the OT, AC cable, and dropping resistors, and I'm done. Here's the progress; [IMG:800:368]http://i52.photobucket....

Re: Rocket fun

Thank you Darin and Dana :D I'll post a build thread once I get going, but in answer to your question, M Fowler, I've been building pedals for a childhood friend who was the best guitarist on the block, but his amp has to go, and his strat needs love. He's now playing in a killing funk/fusion/rock b...

That looks fantastic. Congrats! I'll be starting a Rocket build when the last of the parts come in this week.
