Agree, cutting trashes even carbide blades fairly quickly. Drill bits as well when drilling for eyelets and turrets.
I use 1/8". As mentioned, be very wary of the dust from machining.

Re: G10/FR4 purchasing, sizes? Source?
I've gotten G10/FR4 from McMaster-Carr. I don't know how their prices compare to others. Lots of sizes to choose from.

Re: Adding Reverb to a Champ
Built a head cab for this amp, yet to be finished (probably just amber shellac) an will use the combo cab for a push pull amp with a little more juice. Yet to be decided.

Re: Deluxe Reverb, one channel, no tremolo
I wrapped the reverb driver plate around the tube socket as recommended and it made a noticeable difference in lowering the background noise. I have a couple of Rocket Reverbs that I will try that lead dress on.
Adding the the bass pot jumper didn't seem to do anything so I removed it.

Re: Deluxe Reverb, one channel, no tremolo
Thank you for these edits , corrections, and suggestions. I never did quiet this amp down to where I like it so maybe now I can! Tone wise, I love the amp. Just too much background noise. I use it every day.

Re: Robbie Robertson
His songs will live on. We had Big Pink on auto repeat for weeks on our KLH turn table when it was first released. Same for albums that followed.

Re: Deluxe Reverb, one channel, no tremolo
Made a bunch of changes and the amp is working now. The grounding was changed per Martin Manning's DR suggestions. V3 wiring was flipped around a bit. The first dropping resistor went from 10K to 12K lowering the voltage for B+C and B+D. The 47K resistor that sends some signal to ground before the 2...

Re: Deluxe Reverb, one channel, no tremolo
Actually, really glad for the impetus to upgrade the grounding as it will be an improvement once I find the problem. Just being lazy. I should also change the standby switch configuration while the hood is up, or just get rid of it.

Grounding updated. No change. Will dig deeper as I must have missed something somewhere. I have a few ideas.

Re: Deluxe Reverb, one channel, no tremolo
Martin... I made most all of the changes that you suggested from your beautiful DR build, with the exception of the reverb section, which I'm still working on. It's going to take some rerouting and time but could be the culprit. I'll plug away at it and report back. Thanks.
