Hello Taylor
That big white ceramic resistor that replace the choke can run pretty hot, your high voltage and bias wires should be route differently to avoid theses wires to melt from the resistor heat.
Other than that, it look very nice !

Vibroverb
Hello Cliff I made a Vibroverb clone starting with a Bandmaster reverb amp (head) I bought a silver face 1974 as a base pretty cheap (something like $450) then I converted the circuit to a AB763 specs with a 15 inches Weber California speaker, you can go wrong, this made a fantastic sounding amp. [i...

Goal
I'm not trying to nail a specific sound, I'm trying to shape a sound and tone that does not exist. I want the Princeton features, one channel amp, reverb, tremolo, Princeton basic tone, my complaint against this amp, it sound a bit like a bedroom amp, somes of you may disagree, but I'm building this...

Big iron
Hey Cliff, I'm not arguing with you, you problably know much more than I do, but I would like to understand why a 300mA power transformer would be to powerfull and raise the voltage in a Princeton that run a pair of 6V6 and four (4) preamp tubes, while the same transformers are OK in a Trainwreck Ex...

Crazy idea ?
Yes, but I did consider that a Deluxe (usual upgrade for Princeton amps) transformers bundle cost $113 (at Triode Electronic) and a TW set is $157, that only $44.00 more but I'm saving the cost of a tube socket and a rectifier tube. I paid my last NOS Mullard GZ34 $70.00 so I'm still saving money he...

Princeton Reverb with Express Tx ?
Hello folks Is that possible ? I'm planning the construction of a Princeton Reverb (head only). The ''nomal'' Princeton Reverb AA1164 need 420 Volts B+. I just build a Trainwreck Express style amp using Magnetic Components transformers, the PT is 300-0-300 VAC but with diodes rectification my Trainw...

5E8A Low Power Tweed Twinn
This amp is on my list of ''next amp to build''. Can someone confirm that the bright and normal channel can not be jump like we can do with a JTM45 or a 5E3 Tweed Deluxe ? And why ? If I use KT66 instead of the regular 6L6, should I raise the plate voltage on the KT66 ? I was thinking to use a JTM45...

Turrets board
Yes I agree with you guys, I don't understand how and why Ken at Turret board is still in business, his shipping time is getting crasy, I stop buying from him, his price are not the best either, but he had a nice selection of products, to bad for him !

JOCELYNE (Express inspiration)
He Martin Manning, good suggestions, in fact I did both mods, I add a 0.047uF cap to the existing 0.1uF (for a total of 0.147uF) and I reduce the feed back resistor from 100K to 85K, it's a little more effective. Iv'e learn someting, thank :-) I also change some wires at the pots, pink diden't match...

JOCELYNE Express clone
For some reasons, I don't like the presence control, not very effective in my opinion. I follow exactly the layout in the Trainwreck file section using a 5 K pot. My little 4-4-0 and the Liverpool are using 25 K presence pot, any suggestions to make the presence pot more usable ?
Thank, Jean

JOCELYNE Express clone
Yes Colossal simple ideas are sometime ideal. WOW, I'm simply astonish, this amp is relatively small, light, but it is very loud and very punchy, I don't want to be chauvinistic, but I don't see any tweek to do, it is just perfect like it is, thank Ken for the great simple design! I don't need my JT...

JOCELYNE (Express)
Ta-dam ... Almost finish. I diden't use the impedance switch, not strong enough, so I temporary connect the output directly to the output jack, one is 8 Ohms and the other one 16 Ohms untill I receive the correct rotary impedance switch. I did not install the pilot light yet because I need to finish...
