Re: Anyone compared the Emi Delta Pro to the neo Emi Deltalite?
I have, and currently use the Lite version. I prefer them over the Delta Pro regular version, not quite as dark, and sound more like the EV. The EV is my favorite speaker, and the Delta Lite gets me 95% of that tone at 7 lbs. I currently use 2 in a ported 2x12 cab, and has become my main cab. They ...

Re: "Paint By Numbers" Amp Building
I live in Rockford, can I take some time for a class with you? One of the hardest things is finding someone who really knoes tubes to teach you. Most are too busy doing repairs, or just don't have the time. I don't come here that often, but would enjoy becoming very skilled at amp building, mods, an...

Peavey Windsor 100W Head Mods and Upgrades.
I have a Peavey Windsor 100W Head I got for a great price, super cheap. Works fine, and they are what they are. I bought it to practice doing mods, and to learn more about higher wattage amps. I have done severla mods on a few Valve Jrs, Crate 18 Watters, built a few small kits, and The Tweed Deluxe...

Re: Magnetic Components Transformers any good?
Bought the Heavier duty Deluxe reverb Power Transformer, because I am running a diode SS rectifier, and the Tweed Deluxe Paper interleaved output tformer. Bought the 18 watt Marshall style output for another project. Will report back on the results. Thanks for all the input from everyone!!!

Re: Magnetic Components Transformers any good?
So are these recommended or not? I also need an 18W Marshall good output transformer, AND a PT,OT and Choke for a Peavey Windsor High gain monster I am working on. If not MC, then who would you suggest? Is this the same "oldmanmetal" who used to come over and help test out my early amp builds ? I'm...

Re: Magnetic Components Transformers any good?
Minimum order for custom spec at triodeel is 25 pieces. Its custom gaping and wire insulation at MM, you pay for the guy to tweak it to a spec and the wire supplier to double dip the wire they use. Not doing a custom order. 25 w Deluxe Reverb Power Transofrmer, and a larger Output Transformer. It c...

Re: Magnetic Components Transformers any good?
I am heading to Triode electronics today to pick up 1 of their kits. I will check out their Tformers. I have a Landgraff D'Lux with MM Tformers, and am going to make a copy of it. We shall see if they really are as good. If not, then I will just buy an MM to relace it. Lots of good input here. I am ...

Re: Magnetic Components Transformers any good?
Awesome, Their prices are unbelievable, and Triode electronics is about 30 mins away. Any comparison to Mercury Magnetics, they are supposed to be the best of the best. Did not know Two Rock used, that is a surprise.
