5E3x2 or 5E7 Bandmaster?
I'm having a hard time deciding on an amp build: 5E3x2 or 5E7 Bandmaster. I do not have access to either amp. all that I can go by is YouTube videos. I play Jump Blues, Rockabilly and Surf through an AB165 Bassman with Weber Blue & Silver combination, usually with a Tube Screamer. I am looking to bu...

Re: 5E3x2 Head chassis source besides Weber?
Yeah I saw the Ceriatone, but I need room for 4 6V6's.
I probably just get a raw chassis and drill it myself.
Will a large step-bit work for the tube socket holes?

5E3x2 Head chassis source besides Weber?
I like Weber's offerings for sure, however the head chassis is the same as the combo chassis in his kits, causing the tubes to be horzontal. I want to build a 5E3x2 head with the controls at the bottom in front and the tubes standing up (Marshall style) rather than horizontal. Does anyone out there ...

Re: Heatsink info for VVR?
you mean <3 degrees C/W thermal resistance of the heatsink right?
If that is so, then I can see I have a lot of choices,
thanks

Could this EF86 unit work with a Rocket?
To the moderator, in advance, I hope I am not violating any forum rules by posting this. Please remove the post if I am. After lurking over at the Plexi palace forum, I discovered a device made by a gentleman in England that "adds" an EF86 preamp unit into an existing Vox AC30. I think his name is R...

Cost for parts to build Rocket?
Hi, I am new to the forum. I have been building pedals for some of the locals here, and have been educating myself on amp construction. I always liked the sound and wanted to build a Vox AC30. I was initially considering the Weber kit. Now that I have stumbled onto this site and have been hearing sa...
