Understand it was more of an experimental variant.

Tower of Song
Well my friends are gone and my hair is gray I ache in the places where I used to play And I'm crazy for love but I'm not coming on I'm just paying my rent every day Oh in the tower of song I said to Hank Williams: how lonely does it get? Hank Williams hasn't answered yet But I hear him coughing all...

Screen resistors - please weigh in
I read recently read a comment made regarding screen resistors which piqued my interest at the mention of touch sensitivity. "For both longer tube life & resistor life, and the added bonus of even better touch sensitivity from the amps, every amp I've ever built, repaired or modified, and running 6L...

Where's Ringo?
Henry, beautiful work as always (and in the compact package).
Dave you really know how to push that amps buttons (knob twiddlin and string pickin).
I was wondering how long the drummer could keep that groove going (Steve Gadd or loop?).
Nice job all around!

Re: What's the difference between D'Lite 22/33 and D'Lite 44?
Mark - Bigger OT for more headroom..... The D44 with the big iron has about the same headroom as a super, it starts to break up at about 2-3 o'clock on he dial. Just released for April '08 are the new D'Lite44 kits with really hefty output transformers. For max headroom, we also have higher voltage ...

Re: Rocket Done Tonight
Wow (is an understatement) - photo essay par excellence! Allyn, the .0047 is a mica cap? Mark, It sounds good! Best clean amp I've played. I can run the volume at 1 o'clock with the guitar volume on 10 (Tele) and it's still clean! I taled to the owner of two of them and we compared sounds, voltages,...

Re: Rocket Done Tonight
Allyn Fantastic build as usual. What OT and choke have you used on this one? Cheers Paul Allyn - yet another benchmark build that inspires and is to be aspired to. What voltage HV Tap does the PT have? Even with some shit startup tubes, it is very 3-D and jangley. I really like it. The noise floor ...

Re: My Rocket build!
Carlos - How much capacitance is being applied at PS node 1 (looks like it could be 2 x 47uF) and which rectifier are you using?
Is there any other makes available besides JJ & Sovteks? Which is regarded as more robust?
Maybe the Sarge is the "go to" man in the rectifier stakes?

6n14n
There are a few Saratov (Reflector) NOS 6n14n variants. I have a couple of quads of 6n14n-EB which were peddled as the military variant purportedly all pre-tested, bearing the OTK mark and came boxed with datasheet (Crylic script). To their credit, they present in a robust large bottle package, have...

Re: Building a Rocket - Layout Check for group build
I am the second Rocket up. I got mine wired up and running yesterday. It sounds good so far, but am still burning it in and haven't put really good tubes in it yet. Its very quiet, I used star grounding like RJ suggests, however my preamp grounds go to the buss I soldered to the back of the pots ( ...
