Re: JCM 2000 keeps popping HT fuse

billyz probably nailed it, JCM2000 (TSL/DSL) until late 2003 do have issues with the Main PCB getting conductive and resistors drifting when heating up, you need a new Main PCB to fix that properly... I recall tubesandmore do sell that...

Re: Let's have a little discussion about pickups.

No Trainwreck played yet (bur currently sourcing parts for a Express build) but as you asked : 3 Strats, one with 57/62 Set and the others with custom wound Staufer Blues Pickups (a german luthier), 1 Les Paul Deluxe with handwound Zhangbuckers, Joe Perry Boneyard with custom wound Zhangbuckers and ...

Re: WHERE CAN I BUY A TRAIN WRECK EXPRESS OR LIVERPOOL KIT?

I sure didn't mean to talk up Ceriatone over forum member suppliers. RJ and Allyn are both super classy guys to deal with. For sure this is the first way to go if you live in the US but unfortunately some requirements for Non US amp builders are strangley not taken in account, e.g. the supply on 24...

Check out Nik's Site at www.ceriatone.com, nice kit, nice sounding even when some say that Nik's Express doesn't sound like a real express ?!?

Re: Siemens el34 on ebay

I do not believe that these tubes are Siemens, normally they should have the S&H (Siemens/Halske) logo and wings to cool the g1 like this one: [img:450:406]http://www.jogis-roehrenbude.de/EL34-Story/EL34-Seite2-Dateien/Siemens-EL34.jpg[/img] [img:300:701]http://www.jogis-roehrenbude.de/EL34-Story/EL...

Re: Sourcing Transformers for Express Clone

To my knowledge he never used Shinrock! This is something I never stated... WHat I tried to say is that probably most of the Trannies used by Ken where Pacific but there have been also Amps out there with Stancor, Heyboer, etc... so what to consider the Original? The one used mostly oder the one he...

Re: Sourcing Transformers for Express Clone

You may be getting a comparable price but are you getting a comparable product? Ingo has a huge background in winding Transformers, just search for Shinrock... and the Tranny I get will be an exact Pacific copy. Even Ken got his Trannies from different sources so what is then the Original? Heyboer,...

Re: Sourcing Transformers for Express Clone

Toneslut may carry a 240V version too, don't know). The Export Trannies on Toneslut are out of Stock for quite a while...However, even with the $ being so weak, it doesn't pay out for to order from the US due to high shipping costs and customs/VAT, I can get a comparable price here as well.

Re: Sourcing Transformers for Express Clone

Is Ingo successfully delivering again though? I will see, so far I haven't had any issue, got my stuff in time and as he's doing the Irons now as a hobby I recognized that it will take time before I get my stuff. However, I also know what had been through in the past.. nothing you would want to see...

Multi Caps in Express Clone

Hi all, I am planning of building a Express Clone with Ceriatone parts (PCB and chassis) and a set of JTM-45 Trannies I have available (Shinrock). Looking at the BOM I see the 3x3 stack of HV Caps for the B+ which somehow causes a bad impression to me (think vibrations, hard handling on the road). D...
