Re: attenuator for 100watt amp?
Thanks, is this going to affect the small aluminum housed resistor in the airbrake without the rehostat? Will I need to up the specs on that as well?

attenuator for 100watt amp?
Has anyone built an attenuator for a 100watt amp? Will higher wattage ohmite resistors in the 'airbrake' work? What about the build for the "airbrake" without the rehostat?

Hey, I've got an old Electro Harmonix Micro Synth. It has self contained power supply but no red LED power indicator, the face is only black and white, no blues or other colors. I bought this back in the 80's new. It now has a few scratches here and there but nothing else. Anybody know what a good a...

Re: ohm's law #2?
It's an old Yamaha Hundred412 thats been taken out of it's original cab and turned into a head unit. For many years I thought it was a tube amp (thats what I was told from who I got it from), and I thought I saw metal covers over the tubes, but only 2 tubes. It never did really sound like a tube amp...

Re: ohm's law #2?
No, its not a tube amp. I think I'll have to get two more 4 ohm speakers to make it work. I havent built a cab for the speakers yet so adding two more wont be a big deal, I guess.

OHM'S LAW?
OK, off topic here. I've got this old solidstate amp (yamaha g100), and the speaker out is 16 ohms. I want to hook up two 8 ohm speakers. Can this be done? The diagrams I have say no.

Re: 50 watt Trainwreck version?
Thank's Richie, I'd sure like to find some schmematic's for a 100 watter.Richie wrote:use a 50 or 60 watt OT,,bump the PT voltage up to about 465 on the plates, change the supply resistor to keep the preamp and PI voltages correct, and you have a 50 watter. Some people are making a 100 watter.

50 watt Trainwreck version?
Does anyone here have any info on a higher output wattage Trainwreck, like maybe the Fransesca, or Liverpool? I like the sound of these, but I want more power.

air brake and the likes
Hello, I'm new here. I'm in need of some diagrams for an air brake or the likes for my son. He has a small (10w) practice amp and he has a large (100w) yamaha head with a 4-12 cab. I don't like the L-Pad design stuff. I'm after a parts list and resorce. Can I get the parts from "Fry's" (like what Ra...
