Re: Need new amp build!
Fender Princeton Reverb using 6L6s or 6V6? Similar to the Weber 6A14HP and the Allen Sweet Spot. You get the reverb and the bias tremelo.

Re: Anybody built a two stroke?
I built a Blackface Champ with parallel OT and oversized Hammond PT and 125ese OT. The power tubes used a common cathode resistor with a 5W/100R pot to fine tune. I could not get parallel 6V6s to sound as good as a single 6V6, even after adjusting the cathode and OT impedance. Not sure why but just ...

Re: wreck clone help needed.
It looks like you've yanked the wires off the board from V2. Hard to tell how you had this arranged. Maybe too much gain to the PI? Missing coupling cap? You may want to start again using the Liverpool schematic, just omit the two outside power tubes. https://tubeamparchive.com/files/liverpool_schem...

Re: Function Generator
You can pick up a used function generator of Ebay for around $15-$30. I picked up a BK 3017A for around $20 and it works great for amp work. 2 Mhz is fine and make sure you can adjust the output p-p down to .1V. I took me a while when I first got the BK to realize that by pulling out the voltage adj...

Re: Dirty Little Monster
I took an Express pre up to an including the .022 coupling cap off the second 12AX7 tube. I took that into a 1Meg Master vol into a 5.6k into pin 5 of the KT88. I think I used a 1000uf cathode bypass cap and a 300 ohn 5 watt resistor. Fed b+2 through a 1k 2watt resistor to pin 4 To make it more lik...

Re: TUT 6 - Dumble?
I purchased TUT 3 for the analysis on the champ and bassman. I found it usefull but not alot of circuit analysis (which is probably in previous TUT). There was lots of good content in build techniques. The only thing that disappointed me was the use of hand drawn (and often hard to read) circuit ske...
