1994 Blues Deluxe biasing question?
I have a 94 Blues Deluxe and want to check the bias. After searches, I've read the early non reissues had no bias trim pot, but the reissues do, and a bias test point to test it. I'm confused as my 94 does have a blue bias adjusting pot but no bias test point in the area seen in some of my searches....

combo amp to head cab. how much room for reverb tank?
I want to get a head cab for my Fender Vibro-King. How much interior room is needed for the reverb pan? What can happen if the pan is too close to tubes, trannies etc?
Mucho thanks!

amp loses volume with temolo on
I have a Fender Vibro-King. When I use the tremolo and turn the
intensity all the way up I lose half my amps volume. If I turn the intensity
off, I get full amp volume back. Any ideas?
Thanks

Bias question for Vibro-King
I have a Fender Vibro-King. I've never measured the bias by -46vdc as stated in the service manual below but have used the ear method as described. I also have a bias meter to check mv's. With a set of tubes in the bias meter, I'll turn the bias knob all the way up and a set of Wing C's will show 50...

replacing a 500pf cap?
I need to replace the 500pf capacitor on the V1 preamp tube on my Brown Note D'lite 22. It's in parallel with a 220K resistor. A local electronic supply store has an assortment of these caps. Do I need a special type of cap or will any 500pf cap work? What does that cap do in the circuit?
Thanks

You're right about that swooshing sound problem, that was a bonehead move on my part.

Re: Bay Area tech for Brown Note?
I have a few issues. I bought a Brown Note 22/33 from a guy who built it as a kit. He had an electronics background and the build kooks really neat. He sent me the layout with the amp and all looks good to me. The tone on the clean channel is very bright and nasally unlike some clips I saw on you tu...

Re: Brown Note D'lite making really loud hum and whoosing sounds
I am sooooo embarassed. I had a pedal with a really low battery hooked up to the amp. I should have just checked the obvious first and removed the pedal. Just prior to that, I had another amp that blew a preamp tube while I was playing it. With that amp, the volume went real low. I changed the pream...

new Brown Note 22/33 OT transformer question
I had an earlier post re: my D'lite 22/33 OT transformer. It has no switch to go between 22 Watts and 33 watts. I've been told the transformer was basically a 35 watt Vibrolux transformer and if I run the amp at 16 ohms into an 8 ohm speaker cab I can get the 33 watts with 6l6's. Sounded great to me...

Brown Note D'lite making really loud hum and whoosing sounds
I was changing preamp tubes in my Brown Note 22/33. I'm running 6L6 tubes, impedance selector on 16 ohms to run an 8ohm speaker cab at at 33 watts like I was told to do on this forum in an earlier post. Tubes biased to 32ma. I was playing the amp today and it was fine. I swapped a few different powe...

Re: Brown Note D'lite owner's help 22/33 or just 22?
Been doing a little research. My output transformer says
8K Vibro 4-8-16 HTS8815 9960703. It only has single primary wiring not dual 4K and 8K that Brown Note sells on its site. I still don't know if this is a 20 watt transformer or a 35 watt one.

Brown Note D'lite owner's help 22/33 or just 22?
I've been posting a few things here about this amp and I appreciate everyone's help. One more thing please? I just bought a used D'lite 22/33 amp that was built from a kit. It came with 6V6 tubes. I want to try it with 6L6's. The Brown Note support is lousy, I can't get any info from e-mail or phone...

Thanks everyone. I would have a tech do the work for me. I live in Santa Rosa, CA. and there are lots of techs in the Bay Area. Know anybody particular who could help.
