With a 1 amp fuse in the amp, maybe the transformer is not gone. Unhook the secondaries and see if you still have voltage.

Re: Need Help Understanding Something
Thank you Don, you're a scholar and a gentleman. I removed all connections(no jacks hooked up and no connection between the master volume and the PI cap) between the PI and the pre-amp and was still getting sound. After reading your post, I grounded the PI input cap and no sound came from the guitar...

Re: Need Help Understanding Something
I should have been more clear. When I say "signal", I'm talking about a guitar being played into the input of the amp.

Need Help Understanding Something
The amp is a 101 non-HRM. I recently added pre-amp out and power amp in jacks. The jacks not connected via a switch. You have to use a jumper to connect the jacks and make a circuit between them. Without the jumper there should be no feed the the phase inverter. When I remove the jumper I still have...

Re: Outboard FX & reverb unit
Thanks glasman. So any tank that will work with a Fender will work here? Also, some units have 2 springs while others have 4 springs, what difference does it make?
Thanks
Ken

Re: Outboard FX & reverb unit
Thanks for posting the schematic and layout. I'm a noob when it comes to reverb, does it require a particular reverb tank or will any on them work? Also, what output transformer did you use?
Thanks,
Ken
Thanks,

Re: Relay Drilling Template
I believe the one I'm using is a 1/8" which is going to put some of the eyelets very close together, if not slightly touching. There is a smaller 3/32" that you may like better for more room.

Relay Drilling Template
I know a lot of guys are using PCB's, but if you are a do it yourself type or don't happen to have a PCB, this may be of some help. I just drill out the holes on garolite, install the eyes and solder in the socket and wires from eye to eye where needed. The DIP socket is a 16 pin, and there are only...

Re: Relay question
According to the specs you posted, the relay is pulling 200 mw at the coil. Is your transformer large enough to handle the load? By comparison, the NTE pulls 15 mw.

One source is Steve Slater at Apex Jr. Good prices too.Where do you get that stuff? My coax melts like butter whenever you get the iron near the conductor..
