Re: VVR3 enhanced TW

Measure your voltages. When maxed, you should see approximately full B+ coming out of the VVR, and approximately full bias voltage coming out of the bias portion as well. When minimized, you should see 10% of B+ and 10% of bias voltage (assuming you made no value substitutions on the board). The B+...

VVR3 enhanced TW

I recently installed a VVR3 in my TW and am getting some "interesting" results. It's wired using the fixed bias diagram but it acts like a variable standby control. The more I dial it down, the sound "flubbs" out - kinda sounds like it does when you're playing loudly then flip the amp to standby.......

I heard one of the slack jawed, bauble headed republi-tards on the idiot box say that with the scale of the dollar figures being thrown around as a fiscal bailout, that it would actually make better sense to give every US citizen over the age of 18 one million dollars, it would be less money and wo...

Want to REALLY put thing into perspective? 1 trillion = 1 x 10^12 1 million = 1 x 10^6 There are 8,766 hours in one year (24 x 365.25(accounting for leap year) = 8,766 If you spent 1 million dollers per HOUR, 24 hours per day, 7 days a week. 365.25 day per year, in 1 year you would have spent 8.766 ...

Re: presence squeal in express (was: low end oscillation)

Steve, thanks for your comments. Does the position of the wire on the pic look bad? I can't tell by the picture but if the wire is laying on the chassis, it WILL pick up vibrations and start to oscillate. Let me guess, the oscillation occurs with the volume between 12 & 1 correct? If this is the ca...

Re: presence squeal in express (was: low end oscillation)

I had a similar problem in my build. The problem is the wire coming off V1 and going to the volume pot - IT MUST NOT TOUCH ANYTHING!!! Remove the solid wire & replace it with solid core, shielded coax and ground the end attached to the volume but leave the other side (the one attached to v1) alone o...
