I pulled the chassis out of the cab and realized I'm in over my head. I've built 1 amp (RJ's eagle) and that is it... it's off to a tech with more experience with a classic 30.

Problem solved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I removed the wire to pin 3 & 2 of the power tube, cut the ends off and tinned them, cleaned the two pins on the tube socket and resoldered them and that fixed my problem. :D I did check voltage at pins 1/8 to see what my voltage was and with the tube in, my volta...

Well those caps are pretty easy to replace if the cap is bad after the board is installed. Depends on how melted it is. If it is a cosmetic sear, its probably fine but those caps I don't think are that durable and it is likely toast. But depending on where you're at in the build you might want to r...
