Re: Judybox amps
Judybox amps were made in Austin until 2007, when, I understand, they flamed out. The amps and components have been showing up since then; a couple of members here have mentioned using their chassis and transformers, combo cabs, etc. I just bought a Revival 12" combo with speaker, chassis, transfor...

Re: New Ceriatone Overtone build with a few q. Completed!
One more question. I noticed that my speaker would rattle a little on some notes on my low E string. It got me thinking, the speaker I have is a Jensen 70watt, 8oHms one and would it be a little weak for 100watt Ceriatone ODS? If it is so what speaker would be a good replacement - preferably under ...

Re: V*4 balance
Everything else is checking out fine... A second tube was destroyed in the same way, same socket so I have to stick with the arc theory. I can see that if the 545 Va arched over to the heater pin it would destroy the tube and anything else in its way (hum pot, tube socket) and this is what has appar...

V*4 balance
I have a '70 Ampeg V4 that popped a 7027A, who's socket is wired to the balance pot. The tube died when I turned cranked the treble while playing guitar, caught fire at the base between pins 2&3. The balance pot is also toasted. If I substitute the pot with a 100R pair between the heaters, do you th...

Re: magnetic relay problem?
"Are you talking about the opamp section before the phase inverter?" No, I'm talking about where the CT connects to B+. In the schematic is is labeled as "delayed turn on" and looks like half of a transformer. On the board it is a large clear plastic box with a copper wire coil and some metal finger...

magnetic relay problem?
I snagged a Laney GH50L that had previously been "repaired" by a local shop. Apparently, the shop replaced the OT but had not fixed the real problem that blew it... and they put in a Hammond 1650K, which can only use one secondary AND hooked up the secondary incorrectly so the previous owner didn't ...

Hey y'all, I've been trying to bug people at AX84 for some help on this and I'm running out of time... and HAIR! Hot Rod Deluxe symptoms: sounds like "ring modulator" all the time no matter what.
