Vibro Champ mods for MOJO kits?
Will the common mods that are done to older black and silver face Fender Vibro Champs apply to a Mojo Kit Vibro Champ? Changing the bias cathode resistor from 470 to 1k watt and cap to 50uf/50v and putting 1k screen grid resistors are the mods im thinking of. I know the bias mods are common because ...

Re: Fender Hot Rod Deluxe problem......anyone familiar with it??
The footswitch jack is bad. This is why the channel switching wasnt working. I can push in the tip contact from the back side with my screwdriver tip and it seats correctly and all works. So Ill replace that and channel switching should go back to normal. But that resistor is still getting super hot...

Re: Fender Hot Rod Deluxe problem......anyone familiar with it??
Yeah I saw that site. I didnt see anything that applied to my current situation. ITs not channel switching on its own. Its not the issue with the 470 ohm 5w cement resistors if that what your refering too.
Unless im missing something.....
Thanks

Fender Hot Rod Deluxe problem......anyone familiar with it??
My Hot Rod Deluxe has always had a channel switching problem. Works fine with the footswitch, but without its stuck on "more Drive" Channel. Anyway the issue is resistor R 97. Its getting very hot. Its starting to brown the PCB it gets so hot. Iv measured it with a multi meter and its value is still...

Running My Fender Hotrod Deluxe without powertubes?????
Any harm in running My Fender Hotrod Deluxe without powertubes????? What I want to do is Im recording a song. But being in a family enviornment the noise can get to be a problem so I was recording direct using the preamp output. But when doing that the amp still plays out loud too. So would it hurt ...

Powertube bias Bypass Cap value in 5E3
I got a Mission 5E3 kit a few years back. I had the 6L6 upgrade kit sent along with it. In the kit it had a few parts to retro fit the 6l6 in the 5E3 circuit, but Im thinking back to it now. Why would Bruce have me use a 100uf/100v cathode bypass cap for the power tubes? Maybe Im missing something? ...

Re: Hotrod deluxe into a JTM 45....can it be done..........
Right its asolid state rec in the hot rod ckt. I ment I know the JTM uses a GZ34 and the Hot Rod tranny has no 5 volt tap so Id have to us a solid state.

Hotrod deluxe into a JTM 45....can it be done..........
Iv got a Hot Rod Deluxe and its not up to snuff in my opinion. But I have a populated JTM 45 board with no where to go with it. I was thinking why not use the chassie and cab from the Hot Deluxe and build the JTM 45 guts into it. No big problem there, but can i use the Hot Rod trannys? I know Ill ne...

5E3 build issue.
Well I finished a 5E3 build. This is my second one. First one I built fired up and work perfect on the first try. This one on the other hand didnt. Tubes light up and there was no smoke. But there is no sound at all. One other thing I found strange was if I plug in a guitar cable and toutch the tip ...
