Push on connectors.

Just out of interest, I got a similar problem with a Epiphone blues special, it was one of the push on connectors on the left (from the front) speaker. I found it the same way one of you guys mentioned and purely by mistake, while angrily hammering a big chord shape and looking into the back of the ...

Check yours.

When messing with the black and white speaker wires in my combo, I found that the white speaker wire, in several parts of its almost 12 inch length, was down to only one strand, is this to act as a fuse (2 amps my guess), or a faulty batch of speaker wire.
Check yours!

Happy together.

Matching finish (sorta different) as well as a real good sound adds to stage pressence (visual "and" audio impact), stage pressence is a big part of todays road to success! "Where did I go wrong".

hearing aids.

My old man taught me all I know about vac tubes. I buy the odd book but never get round to reading them (busy doing new guitar licks). I can just about assemble the odd 18 watt kit sucessfully, from a diagramme etc. My old man now wears a hearing aid in each ear, if these were powered by vac tubes, ...

Handle.

The carrying handle on this is a 1 inch by 5 inch hole cut into the centre of the top pannel, just slide the fingers into the hole, bend them and lift, this leaves the top surface of the speaker nice and flat to stand you head or?? on. the parallell jack sockets are inside and when plugged in, the j...

Old and new.

Heres the old Vox box and the new one, compare the size. The weight of the old Vox box when loaded with amp and speakers was 64 pounds, the new apeakers and box weighs in at 41-1/2 pounds. No more straining up stairs and across the parking lots, gigs are more fun for sure!!!! The sound is a little t...

Getting there.

I couldn't get that paint here, maybe didn't look too hard, so I ended up with black board paint, which will match the finish on my 18 watter, which, when I first saw AC/DC live, their beaten but tidy looking Marshalls amps/speakers had that same "outlook" or finish and sounded great back then (high...

The business.

That truck bed stuff sounds the business Structo, amps do get a pounding, almost as much as a truck bed. I wonder if I can get the stuff here in Ireland.
Thanks for that!

Basic.

Was the amp a new amp? If it is, I'd be looking for something real basic first. Maybe you have already checked out the simple stuff, remove all the tubes and replace them, pin conections sometimes do resistances. Sorry but we (us humans) do jump in the deep end, I'm guilty too. Anyways, good luck wi...

Looking good so far.

I have to mention that I used building site exterior ply, which has a few cavities in there, I used a top quality flexible filler where I cut into the odd cavities. The bracing may take a few days because I use a lot of clamps on every brace, hope the glue works good! Any recomendations on a finish ...
