Glen, that's some great info right there, thanks for writing that up. I had my clone on the block and had requests for clips. They came out less than stellar due to my inexperience. I'll see if I can learn something from you here

I bought my faceplate wood at Rockler (Bloodwood... muahahahaa :roll: ) Actually, I bought two faceplates at Rockler. The first I drilled the holes, then countersunk them so my Alpha pots would fit. Then, after all that fun, I scrapped that and bought PEC pots. Too bad, since that first piece of woo...

I just kept the wires close to the chassis, and tried to stay away from everything else. I do have some noise in the amp, but after poking around the wires added for the bias pot/probe jacks I don't think they're the cause. I'm actually thinking of pulling them out. Not that I think it makes much difference, or is causing any issues with the amp, but I'm finding the amp is pretty much set and leave alone. I put -30 on pin 5 and I haven't really had to touch it with either 6v6s or 34s.

And no, I don't gig. I jam on occasion with a few guys, we're getting really good at belting out 8675309 and 2 Tickets to Paradise . Unfortunately my clone would be too loud in this setting.

Legin, did you notice a dramatic difference in volume with the split load? I tried this a while back when Paul first suggested it but think I might have done it incorrectly (yeah, I can screw up something simple like that ;) ) since I didn't really notice much difference if any with the output level...

I used 1M for Bass and Treble, 25k for Mid, 5k for Presence, and 1M for vol. Now about those 612's. Got any left?
