Hi jjman.  I tried reverseing the OT primary wires.  It made it worse.  I moved some of the wiring around in the hope its a layout problem.  Just have not had the time to try the amp out yet.  Thank you for your idea.

Here is a shot of the amp.  I must say that rebuilding an amp into another type is not the way to go.  A clean build is quicker.  I had the parasites real bad.  But it is a cheap way of doing it.
I thinking of getting an OT with the right impedance. Having gone this far might as well go all the way.

Thanks for the reply.  On Monday I will remove the choke and see how it sounds.  This is some amp, even with the noise it rocks.

HI guys. I just finished my wreck. I used a old Traynor YGA-1 amp for chassis, transformers etc. I rebuilt this amp before and had no problems with noise. I left the choke in the power supply to reduce the voltage a bit. It is between the standby switch and the 1K resistor. This point is my B1 feed ...
