Siemens El34s and Mullard 12ax7s

EL34 by far.

But, I just really don't care 6v6 in any amp.

What would be the best chassis to build a Dumble in? New/Old Whatever! Has anyone had Nik make one?

I just ordered some NOS PS Orange Drops. I'm gonna change out the originals (716) for these. I like how my Express clone sounds but I can't help but try the PS caps out.

Has anyone compared the NOS PS series Orange drops to the 716 series in an Express clone?

What is the effect (sonically) of having high filtering on the rectifier tube? I have been reading about Ken Fischer having 80uf of filtering on the tube rectifier on Rocket amps. Why would he go so high when people don't recommend going over 60uf?

Just wanted to say thanks to Allynmey. He went out of his way and set me up with a head cabinet, faceplate and neon indicator. My Express clone will see it's first studio session tonight and it's first gig this weekend.

I just put in some NOS Mullard 12ax7s and NOS Siemens EL-34s in my Express clone. The difference this makes is amazing. I had some Tung Sol 12ax7s and SED Winged C EL-34s in before. I find those are the best current production tubes, but they don't hold a candle to the Mullard/Siemen tubes. What has...
