Re: LCR Meter purchase advice.
Another satisfied DE-5000 user here. It's the best option in the price range. I scored one on facebook marketplace for $50 but I still would have paid full price for it if I hadn't found that one. I do recommend extending the Kelvin clips. This set here has been used by a few people with success, in...

Re: Schematic for oddball Sano amp
I would trace the whole reverb circuit and verify what tube it is wired for vs what is in there. I have a 250R and while the schematic shows 6CS7 as yours does, it was wired for and had a 6CG7 installed. I just found a 300R on Reverb that has a picture of the tubes (last photo) and, you guessed it, ...

Re: Capacitor, inductor checker
Are you sure of the accuracy, specifically for inductance? I bought one to measure wah inductors and found that it was inadequate for the task. Capacitance measurements seemed better.

Re: Need help picking a OT
Just to note that the RS Deluxe OT, of JTM45 fame, was intended for KT66 or EL34 on the 6k6UL taps, or 6V6, EL84 or 6L6 (!) on the 8k or 9k taps, see http://forum.marstran.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=128 Cool info! I may end up buying one in the future. In the meantime, I realized I have a brown note d...

Re: Need help picking a OT
I should have clarified that it's for cathode bias 6V6, same as a 5E3 which does spec an 8K primary. I assumed 5E3 when I saw deluxe but were you referring to the deluxe reverb? That one calls for the 6.6K. I'm still learning so the more info the better.

Re: Need help picking a OT
Can anyone see any reason not to use the following for a pair of 6V6's? http://www.classictone.net/40-18039.html It's a JTM45 OT but at 8k into 4, 8, and 16 ohms it seems like a good candidate for a nice, beefy OT. I was looking at the DeArmond R15 OT from Mercury but this seemed like a good alterna...

Re: New ODS chassis from Thailand
I guess those errors make it obvious that it's not the real deal then.
I recently came across that site as well, but I was searching for that vox wah pcb.
Looking forward to seeing your build!

Re: 5F6A-M Bassman Micro
You're really killin' it with these! Thanks again for sharing your work. Do you have a preference between this and the 5e3 micro? Or is it just like asking if someone prefers a bassman to a tweed deluxe?
