OT

Hey Mark,

No OT yet. Things are a bit busy over there at the moment. I am doing a TAD/Sozo cap comparison this weekend though.

UR12 Wrote: Hey Brian If you remember meeting Richie's (Plexi) brother that was me. Strange.....I thought the show only ran until 5pm. You will have to get in touch with Nik regarding the price. $$$

Hey Dana,

What was the cost of the chassis. Also, I don't remeber meeting you, I remember Mike. :( Refresh my memory. I thought it was pretty bad that dealers were leaving at 5 when the show was scheduled to close at 6:30.

A volume pot can act like this when it has a bright cap across it. Do you have a bright cap on it?

cost

Hey Mark, My curiosity always outways my fear of cost. I just need to know if they wound the extra coils or not, then I can proceed. I have Phil looking into it for me. An easy way to find out what Pacific is doing is to teardown a unit and see what's going on in there. I really don't like th...

Show

I look forward to meeting anyone who comes to the show. I will have Ray Domzalski with me by the way. He has made a board or two for some of you I think. Anyway, look for the purple amps. :)

Windings

Hey Mark, I can't give you a technical reason why the windings effect the tone but I have heard this difference with the Marshall transformers that have a 100V winding and the ones that do not, only difference between them is the 100V winding. The OT with the 100V winding will have a little more mea...

Build

Hey Dave, I may build one for myself. I have always liked the Trainwreck amp and was lucky enough to get inside of one. I don't know if I would build one for sale or not, maybe on a special order or something. I am thinking of doing a low voltage EL34 amp though which could be thought of as Wreck ba...

Yeah, it's me

Is that you Dave? Sorry if I got it wrong.

I joined the group when it first started on Yahoo and just dropped off the radar. I checked it out just before the new year and found that there has been a great amount of progress being made here. :D

test

Hey PeteRH, I did a few comparisons between the two OT's and found that the Stancor more than likely has a lower grade lam in it than the Heyboer does. Of course I don't know if Heyboer included the extra windings in their OT that is found in the Stancor. This will effect the tone if they were left ...
