Hi,
No The baffle is 3/4 quality plywood along with the sides top and bottom. The back is particle board.
Re: mini 4x12..I just figured it would sound like one because it is closed back but 10s.
It is 8 ohms right now, I wanted to get something in there that is 16 ohms

Re: What should I do with this Sears 4x10 cab?
Ok,
Here ya go. quality 3/4 baffle and sides. Ironically, the back is the crappy particle board.
Speakers are really light and feel really cheesy, but I believe original. Any idea of brand?

Re: New member here
Thanks, Yeah I think it is an express clone. I bought it on consignment at a local Music store a few years ago. I plugged it in at the store and it sounded good. I payed for it, not knowing much about it or Trainwreck. It came with a cool little card with a small description and it is called the "Br...

What should I do with this Sears 4x10 cab?
Hi folks, Bought this at a flea market last summer. It is a Sears 4x10 closed back with a really cool design. The back/bottom is angled with wheels and a handle on the back to tip it and roll away like a built in 2 wheel dolly! And, the speakers are staggered making the width a bit skinnier and the ...

Yeah,
Thank you, I will revisit it. The cable "in" to the tank broke off at the source while I was poking around...ugh

Re: Old Premier reverberation unit
update...I wiggled the 6eu7 tube and it and it seems VERY suspect.
What is PLBC written on the chassis? How do I know someone put the wrong tubes in it?
thank you

Old Premier reverberation unit
Hi there, Have an old unit with original ungrounded plug, and it's hums loudly when turned on via the foot switch and it sounds like a fuzz pedal and there is no reverb at all. Not even sure if it has the correct tubes in it. One is a 6aq5a/6hg5 and one is 6eu7, however there are pencil marks saying...

Re: Fender Prosonic 2x10 ohmage
The prosonic has a switch to set the output transformer to 4,8 or 16 ohms. The two 16 ohm drivers where wired in parallel for a 8 ohm load. If your running your clone amp with both speakers then you would once again use the 8 ohm setting. I guess you're talking about the head only version? The comb...

Re: Fender Prosonic 2x10 ohmage
Awesome, I thought so just didn't want any damage.
Thank you
If I could figure out how to use the disabled reverb tank in the cab for any head that would be something!
haha

Fender Prosonic 2x10 ohmage
Hi, I have a Fender Prosonic 2x10 combo that I just took the guts out to use as a cab (plus it is rediculously heavy.) When testing the ohms it reads 13.7 or just about. Speakers are stock and supposedly It is designed to run at 16 ohms. Could I have the meter set wrong, or is this something Zinky w...

Hi people, I just joined, thank you. I will try to make it short, I am not a builder but I own a bunch of amps including Trainwreck clone, Marshall clone and various fenders. I am actually a drummer but been plucking strings since getting a Hondo for Christmas mid eighties. I remember my grandmother...
