Re: Building D'lite after 10 year hiatus (Help)

http://brownnote.net/shared/images/D-Lite%20Layout%20with%20RelaysV3.jpg This is the layout I'm following,I have a couple of questions: First,I don't have a bias tap (I'm using a Hammond 272DX) so I'm guessing that changing the bias supply resistor from 470 ohm to 220K will take care of that (if I t...

Re: Building D'lite after 10 year hiatus (Help)

Thanks for the heads up guys.
My chassie is not not the standard kit chassie,im afraid my amp will be sort of a love child, not for purists but the heart is in the right place.
Wont be using the OT switch but might get the loop going.
Thanks again

Building D'lite after 10 year hiatus (Help)

Hi everybody,I'm a member of the forums since at least 1999 but I had to take a break around 2007.Long story short, found the box containing all my amp stuff, built a quick Booger 2020 to get the mojo back and now ,since I had 98% of the parts and boards stuffed, want to finish the D'lite.I have a Hamm...

Re: Shielding for inside of head cab

Metal window mesh should work and you can staple it to the wood, just make sure all sides are in contact.
Not my idea,I read it somewhere I just don't remember where.

Re: Pics of my HRM Funk Build

Yeah,I tried with a 56R yesterday and it dropped enough voltage that I think the 5V relay would be happy, you pointed me to that value, thank you.

Re: Pics of my HRM Funk Build

I started this debate by asking what the value of "R" would be for the non regulated PS. Deric was gracious enough to give me the value of 30R that he used for 3 relays. I was going to use 2 relays so I needed to adjust it,my Ohms law was a little rusty or I was lazy to look and I asked. All this ca...

Re: Pics of my HRM Funk Build

I think I'm going with the regulator PS........I was trying to save a little PCB I made but I'm being retarded when I have all the rest of the amp built I'm not going to cheap out at the last minute.

I'll just perf the new PS and be done with it.
Thanks

Re: Pics of my HRM Funk Build

Thanks guys for helping me.
I just rigged a mess o' wires with some alligator clips and tested it with a 9V battery and the foot pedal I just finished.....the result using a 56R was a drop of about 6V......
Should be ok.........

Re: Pics of my HRM Funk Build

I stand corrected .......thanks. I'm working off these plans (scroll to the OD/PAB 2 relay schem) http://www.brownnote.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=479 maybe somebody can explain how the power will stay at 7.5V or less, basically I'm at a loss for the value of R in the schem,I went through hell to get t...

Re: Pics of my HRM Funk Build

Ok I just looked at the datasheet for the relays and (that's what I should've done in the first place)it says the coil is rated from 3V to 48V (if I read correctly)so I don't have to worry about blowing them by not using a regulator.
Thanks
