Re: Quad 6l6/el34 power amp for pedal prototyping
Was planning on building a new enclosure. It really comes down to a Small Special or AC100. Thanks for the input.

Quad 6l6/el34 power amp for pedal prototyping
I'm sitting on a set of fender pa100 transformers. I really want to build a big clean amp for prototyping tube and fet preamp pedals. I was thinking of a AC100/brown black silver twins/ showmans or a dumble small special.
Any input is very much appreciated,
Thanks
Nate

Re: Looking for info on Sal Trentino mods and amp info
I talked to him before he passed away. He designed the Whizzer for Neil young. he built two amps for Mike McCready and stone Gossard. From the looks of their amps...may have been Dumbleish. I thought maybe a tech out there in the universe might have serviced them.

Parallel single ended 6v6 amp with a half power switch
I'm looking for a parallel single ended 6v6 poweramp with a half power switch... example. I've looked at the old Angela super single ended champ. Just needed a switching example. Thoughts on a pair of output transformers for the project??? I really appreciate y'all and the help I've received on this...

Looking for info on Sal Trentino mods and amp info
I wanted to see if we could start a compilation of Sal Trentino Amps and mods info. I talked to him via email before he passed. I believed he was a legend in his own right. He was really proud of the amps he built for Pearl Jam. Just a thought
Thanks folks,
Nate

Re: Airline/valco power transformer(heater wire question)
So if I were to build a tweed champ... Using the one green heater wire in series to the pilot, octal and novel... I could still use a pair of 100 ohm resistors to ground from the pilot lamp. The grey wire would go directly to ground?
Thanks again for your assistance

Airline/valco power transformer(heater wire question)
Frankenstein amp alert!!! The power transformer has one green heater wire. I'm building a champ clone. Does the grey wire need to go to ground? Does the green wire go to the pilot lamp then pin two on the octal then 4 to 5 on the noval socket like the champ layout? Is there a better way to run a sin...
