Re: Ethos Pedal

they do - but the guy from customsounds inc. insisted that I had to send the pedal in again (I'm in Germany, so I'd have to pay all the import taxes and postage again + the charge for the mod) instead of connecting with a local trustworthy builder (telenordia). I've no idea how the tle sounds - but ...

Re: Ethos Pedal

i had one - did not really care for it - sounded a lot like a regular ts with the difference that it was SERIOUSLY dynamic/touch sensitive. Zendrive/Zendrive SE/Hermida Distortion are way better imo. I own/owned all of these and compared. the zen has a lot more bottom end (the se and the distortion ...

Re: Sligthly OT: Non-HRM preamp stompbox build

marcus,

if you do the clips, maybe you could use something else than a dumble amp,

a standard fender amp maybe?

did the preamp turn your mm in to a dumble? ;)

Re: SteelStringSinger Question (again!)

alright, thanks!

so if I understand correctly:
an ods speaking in general has to be tweaked to a certain pickup-type, while an SSS can do just fine with either SC/Humbucker?

SteelStringSinger Question (again!)

So after listening to custombycougars sweetlittlesinger demos I have to say it has dead on SRV tone, even though I have to admit that player could make a any other amp sound as srv... My question: how does a steelstringsinger sound that was tuned for max. stevie ray sound when you plug in your les p...

Re: Two-Rock Custom Reverb Sig. 2

sounds a lot like ron's super great "bestofthebest" guitar shop ins southern germany - right?! ;) His website is the funniest I've seen in a looong time... its a crazy world that people acutally buy equipment there... For that money I would have YOU build my amp - no doubt about it. 8) larry, somtim...

Re: Dumbleland tone from a D'Lite kit?

I think custom by cougar is releasing some kind of a srv-inspired amp that goes by the name sweet little singer - the name is somewhat close to string singer, imo. coincindence?
i'm not connected to that company, just thought that *finally* I can contribute something... ;)

Ceriatone offering a non HRM ODS...

...soon. thats what nick from ceriatone told me. after i missed the brownnote d-lite kids, this message was quite exciting for me. That said I would much rather buy a kit from someone with knowledge and quality parts like funk, but I don't think I would manage to gather the correct parts and layouts...

How to get most of the Zen [speakers...]

Hi there, so after owning my zendrive for a couple of weeks now, I really like the way it responds and the sound is super nice, in fact its the nicest I had so far (had a barber ts-clone before), but as always, theres room for improvement I think. My amp is an old vibrolux reverb (silverface), and I...

Re: Umble pedal?

As your average (read: daily) Lurker, I say: Robbie, please stay. I'm on the list as well, and I think it would be supercool if we could discuss your pedal/other pedals and some of the experienced guys like heistl and scottl (who, I think, ordered one of your pedals as well) could drop in and make s...
