Re: File Gerber soldano slo 100

This is great! For the traces, why not use 45 degree? and which chassis do you recommend?

Re: "A box later" Dumble

Thought you all might get a kick outta this. I used a Hammond 1456 and fit my V2 boards inside to mimic the real a box later . JHS also posted this screen shot of their breadboard of their "box it later" which I was able to read the resistor codes and bread board wiring. I'm fairly confident I have ...

Re: Dumble SSS with Eyelet Boards

Assuming you're following my layout since your boards match, you can do B25k or B20K. I use the 2W wire wound in my build for additional degree of accuracy and a little beefier than a standard carbon. It was my way to take a fixed bias and make it variable without changing too much and will fall bac...

Dang.. He's buying them all up. I guess it's sorta good that we know the 1 or 2 buyers for all things Dumble now? Who is J-Bo's amp tech again? Is he/she here? lol

Re: Soldano Space Box Info/Schematic

I added a raw and uncut sound sample to my photo album above of the Space Box. It's definitely interesting... unlike other reverb units I have (Victoria Reverberato, Strymon Flint, etc) I also noticed when toggling back and forth between my Reverberato that the Space Box does something really funky ...

Re: Soldano Space Box Info/Schematic

"Bill Sundt of So[l]dano told me the Space Box uses a 12AX7 while the Surf uses an EL84, I think. He told me the Surf reverb sounds much better than the Space Box reverb." https://www.thegearpage.net/board/index.php?threads/soldano-surf-box.525080/post-5790958 Nice!! I'd love to figure out the Surf...

Re: Soldano Space Box Info/Schematic

I ended up being able to borrow a Space Box to reverse engineer. Here is a photo album with the pics so far. 2x 7025 tubes which is interesting.

Re: Steel String Singer #005 build

Thanks, Ryan! Let's hope it sounds as good as it looks  Curiosity got the better of me, so I powered the unit up yesterday without any tubes plugged in. No blown fuses so far! Yay! lol I'm 99% sure with your attention to detail, you got this! The only uncertainty would be the OT primaries "cor...

Re: "A box later" Dumble

Thanks, guys. I showed Josh that there was literally one mention about the BBC-1 here back in 2008 lol. Never once did I see a pic of it. Not saying I'm an expert in all things Dumble, but I don't think it's talked about much. I remain strong supporting our open dialogue and community dissection of...
