Dang.. He's buying them all up. I guess it's sorta good that we know the 1 or 2 buyers for all things Dumble now? Who is J-Bo's amp tech again? Is he/she here? lol
I think he sends them for repair to Todd Sharp - he mentioned on the AMS rig rundown

Re: 'Dumble Lives On' Drew Berlin Premier Guitar interview

According to Steven Rosen, Alexander Dumble told him about SRV in the 1987 interview: "He's got four of my Steel String Singers" (A Dumble Book, page 189). Of these four, only three are listed in your SSS list (your #6, your #7, and your #9). Together with the Dumble Special (your #8), which accord...

And how do you know he called #8 in your SSS list "Steel String Singer" and not “Dumble Special”?
Ok, so the guys who claim to know everything, (ie Drew Berlin) are misleading everyone then with wrong information by calling it SSS (attached)

Re: 'Dumble Lives On' Drew Berlin Premier Guitar interview

Max, why do you overcomplicate?

Whatever he called an ODS is an ODS (incl. 121)

Whatever he called a SSS is a SSS

Whatever he called a DL is a DL (incl the alligator)

Re: 'Dumble Lives On' Drew Berlin Premier Guitar interview

Interesting, still telling pretty much the same story and still no specifics around future production. A couple of numbers were quoted that are of interest: "There were 11 Steel String Singers, and I think 12 Overdrive Reverbs were made" [D. Berlin]. Can't help but wonder who those inner circle tec...

Re: Artifacts on F#

Have you tried a different speaker or speaker cab. Have you also tried playing in a different room. If none of the above I would bet it's a cold solder, most likely in the LNFB of the tonestack

Hello Guy :D Good to be back with you guys here. Sounds more Marshall/Bluesmaster esque to me (Scooped mids) givin the amps settings. Maybe CW can opine? Tony I have learned a few things recently so yes; I can respond to this. First of all, we need to differentiate between "power amp" and "power su...

Ry Cooder Dumbleland

I was watching this video and noticed what it looks to be an early Dumbleland next to the Borderline special

Looks a bit like the Jackson Browne one used by SRV on Texas flood but has different knob style
